Breaking Bread – A Love Thy Neighbor Christmas Event
Every Christmas season, Love Thy Neighbor hosts Breaking Bread, a heartwarming event dedicated to bringing families together for a night of joy, community, and giving. This special gathering provides hot meals, music, and holiday cheer to families from the San Ysidro School District, ensuring that every child receives a gift and a visit from Santa.
Each year, Breaking Bread welcomes 50-100 families to share in the holiday spirit, enjoying a festive atmosphere filled with live music, delicious food, and moments of connection. As the event continues to grow, we have been fortunate to partner with San Diego Police Department, Youth of the Nation Foundation, and Section 8 Motorcycle Club, expanding our reach and impact.
Adding to the magic of the night, celebrity guests and community leaders come together to serve, inspire, and celebrate with the families. Past guests have included:
