LOVE THY NEIGHBOR 2016 // OUTLETS AT THE BORDER
On Dec 11th 2016 the 7th annual Love Thy Neighbor toy drive event took place at the Outlets at the Border mall in San Ysidro. The mall hosted the this toy collection event for the 2nd time.There was a fully packed list of high profile performers such as Johnny Tumanello, SD Reggae band I-ABIDE, Latin/Funk/Reggae band Bulevar Descarga, the Multi-platinum rock band P.O.D., Grammy awardwinning R&B artists Frankie J and the lead singer for musical legend Carlos Santana, Andy Vargas and Souleros. for 7 years straight our friend and radio personality DJ Beto Perez joined us to provide music for this event! Throughout the day the community came by to enjoy some live music and bring in some toy donations. Pozoleria Dona Maria and El Pollo Grill provided food for our VIP green room and our volunteers. Our guest sponsor, Sweetwater Harley was present with some bikes on display near the stage. Throughout the mall our community partners set up booths to create awareness to their different causes. We were blessed to have Richard Nares of the Emilio Nares Foundation, Actor Jose Yenque of Arts For A Better Tomorrow come up to share a few words! Our tech and media friends Milton Motion, TPT Live, Fuller Lighting, Akroz Productions, Jam'n 95.7, Rock 105, Vision Magazine and many more came together. We had special guests Miss North America Tina Franco stop by for photos with guests and even Santa and Mrs Claus made an appearance on the red carpet. At the end of the night the toy room was packed with donations and another toy drive event was in the books!
